Jarod is a musician and writer who resides in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. While his main focus is creative writing, he also churns out plenty of opinion pieces, essays, and personal reflections on his life as a musician. He has traveled extensively around the United States playing music and has visited almost every state, but the West Coast has always been his home. He holds a bachelor of science in geology from the University of Oregon and worked for many years in an environmental water testing facility, conducting analytical tests for toxic metals in wastewater and well water. In the sciences, his primary interests are geochemistry of natural waters, theoretical physics, and the relationship between resources and the environment.

Jarod has had some works of fiction published and is currently working on a handful of projects including short story compilations, screenplays, and research into the cultural links between people and their environment. He also writes a blog highlighting strange, sometimes tragic missing posters found around the United States.
